Employment and training support

After retrenchment or a career break, residents use WSG, e2i, and SkillsFuture together with ComCare. We map the order to register, claim credits, and document job search efforts.

WSG and NTUC e2i

Register on MyCareersFuture with Singpass. e2i and WSG coaches offer résumé clinics, interview prep, and employer referrals — especially in healthcare, logistics, and facilities management where hiring is active.

SSOs may ask for job search logs during ComCare reviews. Keep screenshots of applications and coaching attendance certificates.

SkillsFuture and mid-career training

SkillsFuture Credit offsets course fees for approved providers. Mid-Career Pathways and similar programmes may include training allowances while you study full-time. Leaving a course early can claw back subsidies — check completion rules before enrolling.

We match courses to your prior trade: F&B service staff moving to elder care, admin staff to payroll certification, and similar switches common among our visitors.

Long-term unemployment

ComCare and WSG referrals often run in parallel. SSO officers expect evidence you are actively looking — not only attending one workshop. Health limits should be documented with MCs so exemptions are recorded correctly.

Freelance and platform income

Grab, delivery, and freelance invoices count as income for means-tests. Register business only if required for your sector; we explain how IRAS and SSO records should align on declarations.

SG Enable Open Door Programme

Job matching for persons with disabilities includes employer grants for workplace modifications. Assessments focus on what tasks you can perform safely, not previous job title alone.
