Why this office exists
Programme booklets from MSF, HDB, and AIC use terms like means-test, per capita income, and household nucleus that confuse first-time applicants. Residents often visit three agencies before learning they submitted the wrong form or missed a supporting document.
We sit between official sources and your household situation: read your letters, list what applies, and tell you which office to visit next with which papers.
What we do in a session
Typical meetings cover financial aid, housing, caregiving, employment, or community referrals — sometimes several at once when a retrenchment also threatens rent and school fees. You leave with a written checklist and agency addresses, not a promise of approval.
What we do not do
We are not MSF, HDB, CPF Board, or any statutory board. We do not sign applications, guarantee outcomes, give legal advice, or negotiate debts with banks. Eligibility decisions remain with the administering agency.
Team background
Advisors include former FSC caseworkers and community outreach staff familiar with SSO intake at Bedok, Bukit Merah, and Queenstown sectors. We update internal notes when agencies publish circular changes — you should still confirm latest criteria on official sites before submitting.
Access
Level five, lift from ground lobby. Large-print handouts available. Mention if you need dialect-speaking relatives included on a joint call — we allow extra time for three-way phone consultations.
